Conference Name Badge
An official name badge is required for entry into all courses and the Exhibit Hall. All registration information is encoded in the barcode on the name badge. Registration information includes all open sessions as well as admission to the Exhibit Hall, lunch* on Thursday and Friday, and beverages* at the trade show receptions.

General Information
Conference Venues
This year, our conference venues include the Vancouver Convention Centre - West Building, and the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.
Registration Area
The registration area is located in the lobby area of Level 1 of the Vancouver Convention Centre. If you have received your official name badge by mail, please proceed to the attendee bag pick-up table. The attendee bag and program pick-up is located on Level 1 in the foyer, outside the ballrooms.

Lunch
A complimentary lunch is served at the Vancouver Convention Centre in the Exhibit Hall from 11:00am – 12:30pm on Thursday and Friday. Please follow the direction of the convention centre staff and lunch area signage. Student and Exhibits Only registration categories do not qualify for the complimentary lunches.

Exhibit Hall Reception
The Exhibit Hall reception will feature beer, wine and non-alcoholic refreshments at stations located throughout the Exhibit Hall. Your badge entitles you to two (2) free drinks. Receptions will be held Thursday and Friday between 4:00pm to 5:15pm.
Student and Exhibits Only registration categories do not qualify for the complimentary drinks.

Session Information
Open sessions are available to all registered conference attendees with the exception of the Exhibits Only category. No additional fee is charged for these sessions. Hands-On courses restrict the number of participants and require additional registration. Registration in these courses is limited and may be reserved through your Pacific Dental Conference online account.

Adding Courses or Special Events
Hands-On courses or special events may be added, subject to availability, until midnight Friday, February 24th, 2012 online (www.pdconf.com) and at the registration area on-site. Use your ID and password to access your Pacific Dental Conference account and indicate which sessions or events you would like to add. You can then view your new account balance and make the necessary payments. All session information is included in your badge barcode and is automatically updated when you add courses.

Room Capacity
All rooms are set to the maximum capacity allowed by the fire code. Seating space is limited and cannot be guaranteed for open sessions. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms open 30 minutes prior to the program time.

Child Care Policy
Children are not permitted in any of the conference session rooms or in the Exhibit Hall. Infants are permitted in the Exhibit Hall in a “snugglie” only and strollers are strictly prohibited. The conference venues do not provide daycare, please check with your hotel concierge for these services.

Selected sessions will be recorded and made available at the Multiview booth in the registration area or after the conference.

Continuing Education
It is the responsibility of each individual to submit their own report to their provincial authority.
The Pacific Dental Conference will scan attendee badges for those from outside BC in and out of all sessions. This will create the official attendance record for the conference. This record will be available on-site at the continuing education kiosk or online from your Pacific Dental Conference account after the conference.

British Columbia Registrants
For Dentists and Certified Dental Assistants (CDAs) registered/certified in BC, CE credits may be accrued as follows:
1. Hour-for-hour credit, to a maximum of 5 hours, for general attendance at the conference/exhibits
and
2. Hour-for-hour credit, based on individual session attendance.
A PDC CE form must be completed and submitted to the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. PDC CE forms for dentists and CDAs are available online at www.cdsbc.org and at the CDSBC booth inside the Exhibit Hall. Delegates can submit credits through the CDSBC website, or can email completed CE forms to ce@cdsbc.org,
mail them to CDSBC, or fax them to 604-736-3843 or toll-free
1-866-734-9448.
Note: You must attend the conference to be able to receive credits.

Some sessions may not be eligible for CE. This final Conference Program indicates which courses have been approved by the CDSBC to be eligible for CE credit by symbols.

BC Dental Hygienists receive hour-for-hour credit, to a maximum of 5 hours, for general attendance at the conference/exhibits and hour-for-hour credit for individually attended courses. Hygienists should include their conference information in their CE submission to the College of Dental Hygienist of BC.

Attendees Who Require Electronic Record of Attendance
Registrants should consult with their regulatory authorities for CE credit requirements. It is the responsibility of each individual requiring a conference CE report to be scanned in and out of every session to ensure accurate reporting for CE credits. Individual CE attendance reports should be printed off at the conference or downloaded from the PDC website.

Alberta & Saskatchewan Registrants
Electronic Reports of attendance will be forwarded to the Alberta Dental Association and College, College of Alberta Dental Assistants Association, the Saskatchewan College of Dental Surgeons.

Alberta Registered Dental Hygienists must submit their conference attendance information directly to the CRDHA within 120 days. Continuing Competence Program credits are determined by the CRDHA Competence Committee. Some courses may not be eligible for credit.
